A Dallas woman was being attacked by an ex-husband and called 911. This was not the first time Deanna Cook was attacked by Delvecchio Patrick , but it would be her last.
Patrick had three prior convictions for assaulting Deanna. Deanna called 911 but the police didn't arrive until almost 10 minutes after the attack began. On the 911 call, Dallas News are reporting that people who have heard it say that Deanna can be heard "choking, dying and pleading for her life." No one answered the door when police arrived. All the while, Deanna Cook was laying inside dead in her bathtub.

The saddest part is that many women go back to these violent men b/c they "love" them. It hurts to watch...I've seen this in my family.
